These are real Broadly Green-Banded Swallowtail Butterfly (Papilio chrapkowskoides) wings that have been carefully edged in 24kt gold infused paint then preserved in resin. We've added faceted tourmaline in gold vermeil settings and 24kt gold plated threaders. Hypo-Allergenic, nickel and lead free.
*THESE ARE THE EARRINGS YOU WILL RECEIVE*
- Every specimen is obtained through responsible practices that do not harm wild populations. They are sourced from conservation-focused butterfly farms and natural life-cycle collection, ensuring sustainability.
- Ethically sourced butterflies that live their full natural lifespans often have minor wing tears, fading, or broken antennae from flying, feeding, and avoiding predators. These physical flaws reflect a natural life fully lived rather than damage from artificial processing.
